Germán Gómez Uribe, D. A. Restrepo Quevedo, and Sandra Suárez Quintero present Machine Nature, a performative installation that blurs the boundaries between living organisms and machinic systems. The work proposes a technical symbiosis where native and endemic plants from three Colombian habitats (Paramo, Dry Forest, and Rainforest) intertwine with an architecture of sensors, algorithms, and nebulization systems, creating an immersive atmosphere that reacts in real-time through light, sound, and spatial transformation.

By amplifying plant activity and its complex ecosystemic relationships, the installation constructs a metaphor for the balance between nature and technology. The piece integrates the study of soils and the invisible dynamics that sustain life, reclaiming the vegetal world as an active interlocutor. In Machine Nature, the plant becomes the engine of a hybrid ecosystem, inviting the viewer to recognize the natural environment as an essential component of coexistence and to imagine possible futures where the organic and the artificial collaborate in a vital way.
